Standard exterior in high shine carbon-fiber black (shown), or low shine gunmetal grey. Blue (shown), deep red, white (shown) or British racing green are available for a surcharge.
The interior velvet is available in many colors and configurations.
Up to four bows are suspended between shock-absorbing rubber blocks, with no possibility of the bows becoming loose in the case. Watch a video demonstration of how the bows are suspended in the case here.
Possibly the strongest case available with their unique oval shape and front to back structural reinforcements. Watch a video demonstration here.
Due to the marine grade locking latches and lip design, the case is also waterproof. The latches are the "twist" type - so they cannot accidentally pop open. They fold out of the way when the case is open.
The case interior is covered with a special high-density foam as an insulating layer to mediate and control temperature changes.
Some insurance companies may offer a discount on premiums due to the unsurpassed protection of this case against damage or theft.
The case has a rechargeable GPS system. The battery life is 40 hours and can be tracked in real time with your smart phone. The GPS is hidden in the case - if you don't know where to find it, you would never know it is there.
There is a detachable A3 sized leather music pocket that snaps onto the outside of the case as well as a pair of music pocket extensions for carrying large amounts of music.
Large storage area near the scroll with straps to hold a shoulder rest, and another large storage pocket at the other end of the case for general accessories.
Two shoulder straps as well as a subway strap.
Built in top of the line hygrometer
Best warranty we have ever seen
All Wiseman cases carry a Lifetime Guarantee, no matter where they are purchased. The guarantee follows the product, even when owners change. Should the case ever require a repair due to a fault in the craftsmanship or components used, Wiseman Cases would re-call the product for repair. The repair would be free, and any postage costs would be reimbursed by Wiseman Cases. The case is designed to last a career and a lifetime.
If after much use, the Wiseman case would benefit from an overhaul to tidy it up, then this is free of charge, no matter how many hours of work are required at the workshop to achieve a thorough result. However, the owner of the Wiseman case would need to pay for the postage both ways. The only other cost to the owner would be for new straps or pads if they are requested (old straps or pads can be overhauled for free, but sometimes a fresh new set is requested). Typically, most cases sent for overhaul tend to be at least 10 years old. After a few hours' work – they are ready for the next ten years and so on!!
If a Wiseman case needs adjusting or adapting at a later date for a different instrument set-up to the original one, this work is also happily taken on, for which there is a charge. We are totally committed to keeping our cases in use and good working order for as long as possible. Our first cases, made 30 years ago, are still going strong!!
Wiseman has been making instrument cases since 1985 but have only recently expanded their line to include stringed instruments. They have built a solid reputation due to their outstanding workmanship and customer service. Here are a few comments from clients.
"I just wanted to say thank you for all the work you put into my case. I received it today and am completely blown away. You have met and surpassed all of my expectations and it was well worth the wait. Thanks again!"
"It is superb…I'm delighted with what is not only functional and space saving, but also of very high quality materials and build… a true object d'art!"
"I started working with Howard Wiseman years ago and have always been impressed by his beautiful work and innovative ideas. He never gives up until it is 100%. He always keeps thinking about the best solution and is open for new ideas. Bravo and thank you so very much!!!!"
"The package just arrived. This case is AMAZING — I am thrilled with how well-designed it is, how well-built it is, and how great it looks. Without equivocation, it is the perfect case for me."
"I've been meaning to write your company for some time now. A couple of summers ago I was involved in a motorcycle accident. I was going to a recording session here in Nashville and had my instruments strapped on my bike when a car pulled out directly into my path. As far as motorcycle wrecks go this was not a bad one at all, I was barely injured. But the bike did take a tumble and was messed up quite a bit. The first thing I did when I realized I wasn't hurt was to check my instruments…not a scratch, scrape or dent to any of my instruments. I was truly amazed. Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful product, your cases are, without a doubt, the best!"
"I've had my case now for about 8 months. I'm writing to let you know that I'm extremely pleased with it. The craftsmanship and quality of materials are excellent, and the customized design is exactly what I requested. This is one of those too infrequent purchases in which the product exceeds my expectations by a large margin. Thanks again for your excellent work."
